We are all seeking genuine community: a place of deep listening, true belonging, and shared purpose. At HUUC, you will find a welcoming community with numerous opportunities to connect, grow, make new friends, and have fun!
The many opportunities to connect include fellowship hour, choir, handbell choir, potluck lunches, Sunday suppers, family game nights, social justice initiatives, and adult programming. There is a Vespers service one evening a month. Getting involved in one of our committees, groups, or teams is a great way to connect and to make a difference!
People are hungry for real community where they can be known, listened to, and feel that they truly belong. We all need connection, purpose, moments of joy, and ways to grow alongside one another.
What gives congregational life its real strength is not just listening to a Sunday service, or attending programs or events, but the relationships we build together: conversations, shared work, mutual care, laughter, learning, and simply showing up for one another. In a time when so many people feel disconnected, creating spaces for authentic human connection matters more than ever.
