In this service, April Rosario — Director of Lifespan Faith Formation at First Parish Taunton — will explore what it means for people when they mask parts of themselves in the context of community, and ways in which she has been able to create “brave spaces” that actively welcome people to be their authentic selves.
April came to Unitarian Universalism and First Parish in Taunton in 2015 when she and her husband, Chris, were looking for a church their two children could grow up in, and that reflected the values they wanted to raise them with. She has been serving at First Parish Taunton as the Director of Lifespan Faith Formation since 2018. April is also a curriculum writer and the Director of Early Youth Resources for Soul Matters and became a credentialed religious educator at the advanced level through the UUA in 2022. April also serves as an RE consultant for other churches, for the UUA’s Renaissance Advisory Team, and as the co-chair of the Building Bridges Family Conference on Star Island.
