As we are all aware COVID-19 is still with us. While most of us are vaccinated and boosted there are still people who are at higher risk from this disease than the average. We are a welcoming community and as such, care for one another. In that spirit the Board and Reverend Bran request that everyone wear a mask for in person services to protect all our members and to encourage everyone who is able to attend. For the present, coffee hour will take place outside. We will continue to provide extra masks, available at all church entrances, to those who need them.
What does it mean to live in a time of grief? This service will explore the lived experience of climate change and pandemic. What do we do with our rage, guilt, and sorrow? How can we work through them or around them to cope and drive change? We will draw on the wisdom of climate scientist Michael Mann, activist Ady Barkan, theologian Reinhold Niebuhr, and others as we explore these questions.
