Not Just an Everyday Earth Day

We are living in a time of extremes: the hope of the youth rising up in climate activism, and the anxiety and grief of a global pandemic; the upcoming super-drought in the West, hurricanes in the South, and unprecedented rainfall predicted for the Northeast. This week we celebrated the 50th anniversary of Earth Day, but suffered the loss of an aging climate warrior to COVID-19. Global climate change will test our courage and imagination as we develop mitigation and adaptation strategies. Today we reflect on the past 50 years of progress, and share how we can stay positive and motivated as we continue to fight for the future.
