Searching for Truth and Meaning

Ask any Unitarian Universalist to define Unitarian Universalism, and you’ll most likely get a sputtering, rambling answer. At any UU gathering, the “elevator pitch” workshop is always in high demand. Most of us fall back on a summary of the seven principles; we explain that we believe in the inherent worth and dignity of every person, and each person’s right to their own free and responsible search for truth and meaning. “Okay,” one might respond, “But what do you believe?” Join guest preacher Karishma Gottfried to explore what the search for truth and meaning in Unitarian Universalism looks like today.
