The theme for this year’s stewardship campaign is “Gathering in Hope,” and what better way to kick off the stewardship drive than with a spirited gathering of our community! The event, which will take place in the Fellowship Hall, will be for all ages. Costumes encouraged!
- 5-6:00 Socializing and pumpkin decorating. Have some warm cider, fall treats, and socialize or decorate a pumpkin! Pumpkins are provided along with a slew of decorating goodies. Prizes for all who participate.
- 6-6:45 Fall themed potluck! In the traditional HUUC fashion. You bring a dinner dish to share. Dessert provided. Non-alcoholic drinks provided. Please BYOB.
- 6:45-7:45 The Talent/No Talent show. Acts welcome! Some of us actually do have talent (and thank the Goddess for that!), but many of us, well, there has to be some hidden talent! Last year we were dazzled by hula hoops and hokey pokie, and it was fun! This year – lip syncing, air guitaring, kazooing, potato chip stacking? Really anything goes – talent or not.
We’ll have a sign-up in advance. There will also be an activity outside the fellowship room for children and others who may not want to participate, though youth and families are encouraged to do an act!
Stay for part of or for all. If you are interested in donating any craft supplies for the pumpkin decorating, or have any questions or idea, please contact us! Stewardship Committee Co-Chairs: Danielle Kehoe and Carol MacFarlane
